What is Future Benchmarking and why is it important for organizations when developing products and services? Imagine a competitor is launching a new product or service and you want to launch the same. To do this, you analyze the competitor’s product or service, create a specification and a schedule. If, however, you do not take into account that the competitor’s product will change and improve by the time you introduce your own product, then you will introduce a product that immediately lags behind the competitor’s product.
Listen to my explanation of Future Benchmarking with examples as I walk through the Cité de l’Automobile – the automobile museum – in Mulhouse, France.
