Figure Introduces New Robot

Figure.AI CEO Brett Adcock posted a video giving a sneak peek of the new humanoid robot Figure 03, which will be unveiled on October 9, 2025.

What can be seen in this teaser video?

  • A fabric that covers almost the entire robot;
  • Cameras integrated into the palms of the hands;
  • Dozens of touch sensors in the fingers;
  • Inductive charging via the feet;
  • Flexible toes on the feet;
  • Clothes for the robot!

Those are some interesting details that could be seen.

Let’s take a look at the legs first. Inductive charging via the robot legs means that batteries do not need to be replaced, or that a charging station can be installed in the floor mat directly at the workplace, reducing downtime. Flexible toes also allow for better movement and stability, as well as better push-off from the ground with correspondingly lower energy consumption.

The hands are equipped with touch sensors that allow them to better distinguish between hard and soft, solid and fragile, or even deformable objects. A camera is also built into the palm of the hand. This allows the robot to see the objects it is manipulating better and means it does not have to rely on cameras in its head or other parts of its body.

The entire robot is covered with fabric, except for the joints. The hands also appear to have their own fabric, like a kind of glove. And we can also see that there are different outfits for the robot. This is a reference to aesthetics, which are intended to make robots more attractive on the one hand, but also more resilient for different tasks on the other.
