Once again, the vision-language-action model (VLA) called Helix 02 demonstrates that the robot (the Figure 03 model) moistens a table with a spray bottle, wipes it down with a cloth, pushes some building blocks into a basket, places others from the sofa into the basket, straightens cushions, and finally turns off the TV with the remote control. The robot also seems to suffer from a slight obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as it then aligns the remote control on the table parallel to the table edges.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> I also tend to do it this way&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/brettadcock_today-figure-is-showing-another-major-milestone-ugcPost-7436806575538843648-61W1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn post<\/a> about this video, Figure.AI CEO Brett Adcock emphasizes that the robot performs these tasks autonomously, i.e., not remotely controlled or instructed by a preprogrammed loop.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CAdTjePDBfc?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What <a href=\"https:\/\/www.figure.ai\/news\/helix-02-living-room-tidy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">challenges<\/a> does the humanoid robot overcome exactly?<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cleans surfaces using a coordinated approach with tools: Moisten a dirty surface with a spray bottle and then wipe it vigorously with a towel to remove the dirt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handles flexible objects dynamically: masters the complex dynamics of a towel\u2014hangs it from the arm, repositions it to clean, and throws it over the shoulder to keep hands free.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs complex two-handed manipulations: lifts a container with both hands and holds it steady while shoveling blocks from the table into the container.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use whole-body strategies for greater efficiency: clamp a container under one arm so that both hands are free to pick up toys.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs dynamic throwing movements: Throws a cushion back onto the sofa with a quick, controlled movement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform precise tasks with one hand: Take a remote control, turn it in your hand, and press the right button to turn off the TV.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform precise tasks with one hand: Take a remote control, turn it in your hand, and press the right button to turn off the TV.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moves with precise steps through narrow spaces: climbs sideways through the narrow gap between the coffee table and the couch while continuing your activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Figure.AI is one of more than <a href=\"https:\/\/technophilosoph.com\/en\/2025\/11\/16\/humanoid-robots-an-overview\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"12085\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">160 manufacturers of humanoid robots<\/a>, which develop and produce a total of around 200 models.
