Tout d&rsquo;abord, le comit\u00e9 du prix Nobel \u00e0 Oslo a annonc\u00e9 hier que le prix Nobel de physique de cette ann\u00e9e \u00e9tait partag\u00e9 entre deux chercheurs en IA, John J. Hopfield et Geoffrey E. Hinton. Dennis Hassabis et John M. Jumper sont respectivement les fondateurs et les chercheurs de l&rsquo;entreprise DeepMind, rachet\u00e9e par Google il y a quelques ann\u00e9es. Jumper \u201cfor protein structure prediction.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gYrdFFcD4T\">pic.twitter.com\/gYrdFFcD4T<\/a><\/p>&mdash; The Nobel Prize (@NobelPrize) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NobelPrize\/status\/1843951197960777760?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 9, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avec AlphaFold, Hassabis et Jumper ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 des algorithmes de machine dans un r\u00e9seau neuronal qui permet de plier des prot\u00e9ines et de faire ainsi des d\u00e9couvertes pour des m\u00e9dicaments et leur mode d&rsquo;action. Cette t\u00e2che, consid\u00e9r\u00e9e il y a encore peu de temps comme impossible \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser par des machines, va acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9veloppement de m\u00e9thodes de gu\u00e9rison pour les maladies les plus diverses. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce qui est remarquable dans la d\u00e9cision du comit\u00e9 Nobel, c&rsquo;est que c&rsquo;est la premi\u00e8re fois que des chercheurs en intelligence artificielle sont r\u00e9compens\u00e9s. Et pas seulement cela, mais quatre \u00e0 la fois.
