I am currently aware of 280 manufacturers of humanoid robots worldwide, and yesterday I had the opportunity to visit one of them with the team from the German YouTube channel Everlast AI and Everlast Robotics. We met with founder and CEO Hoa Mai, as well as co-founder and CEO Parsa Bakhtiari, at the company’s headquarters in East Palo Alto.
Feather was founded last year, emerged from stealth mode last week, and is developing a humanoid robot on a wheeled platform that is already being used, among other things, as a chef in restaurants and as a cleaning robot in laboratories.

Hoa Mai herself had co-founded the robotics company Kind Humanoid with German entrepreneur Christoph Kohstall; the company was acquired by 1X Tech in 2025. While Kohstall remained at 1X, Hoa Mai teamed up with former Tesla Model 3 engineer Parsa Bakhtiari to found Feather, through which the two were able to raise a pre-seed funding round totaling $7.6 million.
Unlike other manufacturers, Feather is focused on a modular humanoid robot, a concept they describe as the “Android of robots.” Developers are provided with hardware and software tools that allow them to further develop the humanoid and adapt it to their specific tasks. On the software side, the hardware can run AI robotics models from all leading providers, including Nvidia, Skild, and Physical Intelligence.
The company has already generated $1 million in revenue. Feather’s humanoids are priced at $30,000. Everlast AI & Robotics will release a more detailed video about this visit. Here’s another video from Feather:
