In order for humanoid robots to be used sensibly, they need “range,” similar to electric cars. How long can they work before they need to be recharged? And how quickly can a robot be ready for use again?
The following video shows how humanoids from four manufacturers are charged. All four robots can recharge themselves to a state of readiness without human intervention.
| Robotics Company | Robot Name | Charging Concept |
| Agility Robotics | Digit | Charging station |
| 1X Technologies | NEO Gamma | Charging station with magnetic connector |
| Figure.AI | Figure 03 | Charging station and inductive charging |
| UBTECH Robotics | Walker 02 | Battery swap |
Robot manufacturers have come up with some creative approaches, as we can see in a compilation of various charging concepts. The approaches range from charging stations, simple magnetic plugs, and autonomous battery replacement to inductive charging through the soles of the feet.
